There are a multitude of angles to this story. I would like to highlight the fact that most of what left Cuba aboard the Freedom Flights were families with children. Those of us, who grew up here, are forever indebted to that generation; our parents, who renounced to jobs, careers and comforts, often leaving their own loved ones behind. Today, I would like to pay tribute to these heroes and tell them once again that they made the best decision of their lives. We enjoy our freedom because of their sacrifice.
