With much of what remains of Chantal expected to remain offshore, South Florida’s weekend may not be a total washout after all.
Tropical Storm Chantal fell apart on Wednesday, but remained a flood threat for Haiti and promised a dreary weekend for South Florida and much of the rest of the state.
Forecasters say the storm’s passage over mountainous Hispaniola will go a long way to deciding what threat it poses for the mainland
