Liverpool will be without midfield duo Javier Mascherano and Yossi Benayoun for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Fiorentina.

Mascherano is suffering from sickness despite featuring in Saturday's 6-1 rout of Hull City in the Premier League.

Benayoun picked up a leg injury during the same game and neither player has travelled to Italy.

Meanwhile, the Reds have revealed that defender Daniel Agger will step up his comeback from a back problem which has sidelined him since preseason during a reserve-team game against Manchester City on Tuesday.
