All work, no play: I was the typical immigrant from South Korea -- work, work, work and my health went down, down, down. I went to school, worked as an instructor and designed electronic filters used for Air Force communications. My blood pressure was high and my cholesterol was high.
Hmmmm: A nurse once told me that many people were drinking alkaline water to lower their blood pressure. I started drinking it religiously. In six weeks I stopped taking blood pressure pills. I was happy, but then it started to bother me. Was the effect on my blood pressure psychological? Maybe not.
Light pedaling: I'm trying to exercise. I bought a stationary bicycle, and if I do five or 10 minutes a day, that's it. I know that's not enough.
Smaller portions, please: I eat anything, but in moderation. That's the problem with the American diet. Everything is over-sized, super-sized, jumbo-sized. Twenty years ago I weighed 160. I'm now 132.
Hold the meds: My health has been great. I don't take any prescription medicine, but I do take vitamins and minerals.
Thailand bound: I've been to Italy four times and I lecture about my book, Reverse Aging, all over the world. (More info: www.alkalife.com) This year I'm going to Thailand and Malaysia. They translated my book and I've been invited to sign copies.
Sudoku, anyone? I play Sudoku, a good brain exercise. It's great for when I'm waiting all kinds of hours at the airport.
