Part of the fun of traveling is joining in on celebrations and events at your destination, but how do you know what's going on before you go? Check out www.whatsonwhen.com.
What's hot: You can search for events, shows and festivals by nine categories, date, destination and keywords. The British-based website has travel guides, but we found the videos of festivals, such as the wife-carrying race in Finland, more entertaining.
What's not: It's not inclusive enough, so if you're headed to a big city, try www.timeout.com, which has better dining, shows and nightlife listings.
