Miami-Dade Circuit Judge John W. Thornton Jr. ordered Eric Rivera Jr., 17, remain in jail without bond Wednesday on first-degree murder and armed burglary charges in connection with the death of pro football player Sean Taylor.
Rivera is one of four Fort Myers men charged in Taylor's death. The other three had their first appearance in a Miami-Dade court on Tuesday.
Authorities say Rivera was the triggerman who shot Taylor on the morning of Nov. 26 during an attempted burglary at his Palmetto Bay home.
Taylor, a Washington Redskins safety and former star at the University of Miami, died the next day from a gunshot wound to the leg at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
