TEAM OF THE WEEK

Behind Chrissy Gratz and Tyler Amato, the Archbishop McCarthy track team extended its dominance in District 14-2A.

Gratz won the high jump and long jump, and finished second in the triple jump and pole vault to help the girls' team claim its eighth title in the past nine years.

Amato went 1-2 in the 1,600 meters and 3,200, as the boys' team won its fourth consecutive title.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

• Kerry Doane, Nova, baseball: Doane's two-run double highlighted a five-run second inning, as the Titans rallied past Flanagan 5-4.

• Jonathan Sousa, Coral Springs, boys' volleyball: Sousa had 27 assists and nine service points in a victory over Taravella.

• Kysswanna Williams, Pompano Beach, flag football: Williams had five catches for 56 yards, including a touchdown, and added seven flag pulls in a 12-0 victory over Piper.

• Juliette Khalil, Hollywood Hills, girls' water polo: Khalil had six goals in an 8-6 victory over Pembroke Pines Charter.

• Connor Dooley, South Plantation, boys' volleyball: Dooley had 13 digs and 10 service points in a victory over West Broward.

• Alex Lopez, Flanagan, boys' water polo: Lopez had four goals in the Falcons' (12-3) 16-13 victory over Fort Lauderdale.

• Emanual Kent, Upperroom Christian, boys' track: Kent led the 3,200-meter relay team to victory, and swept the 1,600 and 3,200 meters to help the Eagles clinch the District 15-1A title.

• Kayla Gardner, Westminster Academy, girls' track: Gardner sparked the Lions to the District 15-1A title by winning the 100-meter hurdles and 300 hurdles.

• Isaac Thylen, Eli Mlaver, Thomas Teper, Pine Crest, boys' tennis: Thylen won singles, and Mlaver and Teper teamed up for a doubles victory to lead the Panthers to the District 15-2A championship.

• Julie Sabacinski, Ekaterina Kiseleva, Alexandra Kiick, Rachel James-Baker, Anna Silina, American Heritage, girls' tennis: Sabacinski, Kiseleva, Kiick, James-Baker and Silina swept the singles to lead the Patriots to the District 15-2A title.

• Cullen Montgomery, Highlands Christian, baseball: Montgomery gave up just one run and struck out six in a complete-game 3-2 victory over Orlando Pine Castle Christian in the First Academy Tournament.

• Jessica Nori, St. Thomas Aquinas, softball: Nori threw a one-hitter and struck out nine in a complete-game 4-0 victory over Fort Myers.

• Courtney Reinfeld, Douglas, softball: Reinfeld (13-4) picked up the victory and helped her cause by going 3 for 3 with an RBI in a 4-1 victory over Land O-Lakes in the Bill Longshore Tournament.
