There are a few spots left for high school football players in Classes 2010, 2011 and 2012. To register, go to www.elitescoutingservices.com or call 305-467-4386 for further information.
The event will test as well as teach football. Videos will be taken of all football drills and sent directly to college coaches across the country.
The event will be carried live on 790 The Ticket with Bruce Warner and former University of Miami tight end Gerard Daphnes on hand, interviewing some of South Florida's top prospects.
MAKING MAJOR STRIDES
There are plenty of players who have been jumping onto the radar screen this winter and into the spring.
Among those players getting recognized include Belen Jesuit defensive back/receiver Pablo Alvarez, who we brought you last season, receiver Reggie Coles, quarterback Nic Platt and receiver Sergio Fernandez-Soto, Hialeah Miami-Lakes defensive end Manny Diaz, and Miami Country Day offensive lineman Josh Breakstone.
There are also Coconut Creek lineman William Wright, running back Marquise White and linebacker Shawn Henderson.
There are also Class of 2011 standouts such as Dillard linebacker Wayne Lyons and linebacker Jeremy Cash, who played at Ransom Everglades last year, but makes the move to Plantation this spring.
Throughout the coming weeks, I will continue to introduce you to new players in South Florida that are not on the radar yet.
ONE FOR 2014
What about 5-10, 155-pound Westminster Christian seventh-grader Hunter Boyett, who is just 13 and already received an invitation to the Ultimate 100 camp for the southeast U.S. in Atlanta as well as one to Football University.
Don't forget that we are always looking to help our area recruits for the current Class of 2010, 2011 and 2012. All you have to do is send a DVD and information about the athlete to: Larry Blustein, P.O. Box 3181, Hallandale Beach, Fl. 33009.
Larry Blustein is co-host of the Miami Dolphins Gridiron Show every Thursday evening from 8-9 on WQAM (560 AM). Have a comment? E-mail lblustein@MiamiHerald.com.
