Coral Gables drug company to make new medicine available at no cost

Coral Gables-based Catalyst Pharmaceutical Partners soon will make its investigational drug Firdapse available at no cost to patients with a certain autoimmune disorder.

  • Florida’s Do Not Call list has grown since fee was eliminated

    Since eliminating a fee to subscribe, Florida’s Do Not Call list has grown significantly, the state’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said Wednesday. In the past two years, nearly 575,000 phone numbers have been added to the statewide Do Not Call list so that individuals are not bothered at home by telemarketers, solicitors and scammers.

    With skyrocketing rents, TiramesU, the landmark restaurant on Lincoln Road, is temporarily shuttering as it moves to Washington Avenue, co-owner Graziano Sbroggio of the Graspa Group said Wednesday. The restaurant, whose rent was about to triple, will close on Sunday after 17 years on Lincoln Road, and will reopen at 101 Washington Ave. after the summer. The restaurant will relocate to the space formerly occupied by the restaurant Salt and Pepper, after significant renovations, said Silvia Cadamuro, in charge of marketing for Graspa Group.
